Surrey’s i-access drug and alcohol service is piloting a brief telephone treatment for higher risk drinkers.
The initiative is aimed at those who may not have previously met the criteria for specialist treatment and will be open until the end of March 2020. Treatment consists of up to six 30-minute sessions conducted by telephone by an alcohol specialist.
Referrals are made via the current i-access drug and alcohol team. People can also self-refer or be referred by a professional.
